1/20

This week in class, George and Shane went back to Home Depot and purchased wood, screws, and pvc pipe. We also began cutting the wood that will be the outter shell of the spike strip. The cuts turned out to be more difficult to make then we originally thought because of the awkwardness of the angles and how we had to use the table saw to get the cut the way we needed. Once we figured out how to cut the first one, with assistance from Mr. H., the other was alot easier to do.

We went to Home Depot and purchased a few pieces of wood and some metal strips. We began by cutting one of the pieces of wood in class. However we ran out of the proper type of wood that we needed for the project, so we needed to return to Home Depot.

We went exploring some different junk yards for metal parts that we're going to use on our spike strip. We weren't really able to find anything that would be much help to us. Because of this, we decided to use wood as the frame instead of sheet metal, plus wood is a much easier building material to work with.
